I read the Lisa Wingate book Blue Moon Bay a couple of weekends ago. I always love her books and was a little disappointed that this one didn't grip me like her books usually do. But I've only quit reading a handful of books before reaching the end and it wasn't an awful book so I finished it. It wasn't until the very end of the book that I learned the lesson I was to learn.
"Love is both a sword and shield. It is all the armor we need. God walks with us through the fires of life. Deep inside I always knew there was no way to the other side of this pain but through the fire." --Lisa Wingate
A dear friend I worked with always told me the only way to survive the things I was going through was to get through them to the other side. Not around them, but through them. Like I told her then I'm still looking for the other side, but this quote brought Brenda's wise words back to my mind.
"The future is a blank page, but not a mystery. Though we only read the stories in due time, the books of our lives have already been written. God has drawn us in shades of charcoal and pastel, know our hours, seen our days, laid down our paths, created each of us as unique and uniquely loved. Our lives come as a blank canvas only because we cannot see what He sees. Before we can conceive our stories, He has watchedd them in His mind's eye, and not the stroke of a pen happens at random. Above the book, the Architect watches with a broader eye, a greater plan. He knows what is to be written on every page." --Lisa Wingate
I admitted this week that my greatest fear right now is that I am failing at everything, and I was informed that I am a loser, we are all losers. That is why we came here to earth. To be redeemed by Him who loves us all. I was told to remember I'm not perfect, but beautiful.
So remember that when you've had a bad day and feel like nothing you did was worth anything. "You are not perfect, but beautiful."

Wow! That was inspiring! I think most of us feel like failures a good chunk of the time. It's nice to know it's okay to be a "loser" sometimes. :) Lisa Wingate is one of my favorite authors. I can't wait to read the new book!
