Kyle and I met on the LDSPlanet website. He sent me a message and asked if I would be interested in getting to know him a little better. I replied in the affirmative and we exchanged a couple of messages during the week. The coming weekend was the Memorial Day holiday. I was going camping and would be away from the computer so we exchanged phone numbers and agreed to text. Dad was on call so I knew we were going camping somewhere with cell service. We texted back and forth all weekend and on Sunday night he asked if he could come and take me out on a date on Monday night. So we only did the internet thing for a week before meeting face to face.
We clicked from the very first date. We had a good time and spent over an hour sitting in his truck talking in the driveway before I went in the house. He thinks I liked him at first because he drove a nice truck, but that wasn't the reason. It was his pretty brown eyes and cute smile that drew me to him.
Kyle and I lived 1 1/2 hours apart and after our first date it was 2 weeks before we were able to get together again, but we talked on the phone every night for hours. A few weeks after we met we went to the Oquirrh Mountain Temple open house. On our way there Kyle told me he was falling in love with me (which caused us to miss the turn and be late). I knew I was falling for him too. When we were in the sealing room at the temple they had us look in the mirrors and I had a strong feeling he was the guy I was going to marry. When we were visiting outside we agreed that if we ended up getting married then we wanted to be sealed at that temple.
We ended up getting married just 4 months after we met. We know it was fast but when you have waited as long as we did to find each other and we knew it was right we just didn't see the point in waiting longer than we had to. We went through a lot of challenges before the wedding, but I received many blessings that confirmed that Kyle was the man for me.
The challenges didn't stop with the wedding of course. They continued to come on a daily basis. After 4 years of trying we separated in October. I honestly thing we both gave everything we had to the marriage, but I just can't do it anymore.
